Position: Accounts Payable Officer
The Accounts Payable Officer will support the company’s accounts payable function by ensuring that supplier invoices, payments, reconciliations and financial records are processed accurately and on time. The successful candidate will also contribute to effective financial controls, statutory compliance, audit readiness and selected office administration activities.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate and timely payments through the company’s financial systems. Duties will also include maintaining supplier and vendor records, performing supplier reconciliations, monitoring accounts payable ageing and managing accruals.
The role will involve maintaining supplier master data to support purchasing and payment processes and ensuring tax and legal compliance including company requirements. The officer will maintain accurate supporting documentation and assist in internal and external audits for control.
Additional responsibilities may include supporting office administration, document management, logistics coordination, filing, office supplies and other duties required for effective business operations.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- Related field including Accounting, Finance, Bachelor's degree and Business.
- At least three years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance position.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable procedures and financial controls.
- Experience using computerized accounting or ERP/financial management systems.
- Understanding of tax and statutory compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- High standards of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
